We have created this page to best answer your questions.
F.A.Q. about getting your Prom Dress Tie Dyed
question: What type of dress do I need?
answer: The dress MUST meet the following criteria:
1. Color: White or ivory or very pale in color.
2. Fabric: MUST be made of Cotton, Rayon, Linen, Silk, Chiffon and/or Charmeuse,
(less than 10% Spandex/less than 10% Polyester is acceptable.
Pure Satin/Polyester/Spandex is NO GOOD).
note: PLEASE BECAREFUL GIRLS when purchasing your dress.
Formal dresses are often made of 100% Polyester - which means we can't dye it!!!
So heads up!
3. Size: The dress may shrink. We are careful and have been lucky so far but this could happen.
So if you can't fit in it before you send it to us - then don't do it at all, cause it may shrink.
question: Do I get to decide on the colors I want my dress to be?
answer: YES - as many as you wish (even black).
question: May I also send you my Dates tie, cummerbund and/or vest to tie dye to match my dress?
answer: YES - color/fabric/size is the same deal as your dress, (see above). It will cost more for those items
to be tie dyed but you'll look awesome.
question: How much will it cost to tie dye my dress at type b?
answer: Depends on the size of the dress. We usually do it for between $50 and $75.
question: How long would it take to tie dye my dress?
answer: We turn them around in a few days. DO NOT send us a dress and expect it back the next day, (thats not cool).
question: How do I ship my dress to you?
answer: This is how you do it:
1. PHONE US FIRST @ 215-693-1446 Lets talk and get your delivery scheduled.
2. ALWAYS ship your dress with tracking information and/or a delivery confirmation.
3. Feel free to send, with your dress, any photos/colors you want your dress to be like.
4. INCLUDE in your package all your contact information: Contact Information, Phone Numbers and Return Address.
question: Are all sales final?
answer: YES and We do not do alterations.
